Hurricane Harvey Unites.

This past week has been extremely emotional, exhausting, and scary. I just witnessed Hurricane Harvey and the devastation that has been unleashed upon my hometown is absolutely heartbreaking.

Homes have been destroyed, families have been torn apart, and lives have been lost. However, I am extremely proud to see my city come together and do everything that we can to clean up this mess.

At this moment in time race, gender, and religion DOES not matter. People are just helping people out of the kindness of their hearts. This is why I love Texas. This is why I love Houston.

Although this catastrophic event took away many things that we loved, it will never be able to take away the hearts of gold that every single Texan has.

I am extremely grateful for every single person who has taken their time to pray for us and the others who have donated towards helping us rebuild our city! I am grateful for the emergency responders, coastguard, military, and even the citizens who risked their lives saving those who needed help. Lastly, I am grateful for all of the store owners who opened up their stores despite the weather so that we could get food.

One thing I know for sure is that many blessing are to come from this tragic event.

Rebuilding is going to take so much time and work. However, I know that through this all, Texas will remain strong and proud.
