According to reports, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will not recover their roles for the “Men In Black” Sequel.

Sony Pictures has agreed to push forward with the film and the release day is set for May 17, 2019, according to reports. Although Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones won’t be recovering their roles from the three original films, the new film will be set in the same universe as those.

All three original “Men in Black” movies were big box-office hits. Although the third movie didn’t do as well critically as the first two, it still made $624 million at the worldwide box office. In total, the “Men In Black “series has made so far more than $1.6 billion.

There have been several rumors that the sequel will be a remake of the 1997 film currently, that isn’t the case at this time.

The movie has earned scripts from Matt Holloway and Art Marcum, who previously wrote Iron Man and Transformers: The Last Knight.

The film is being produced by Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald and executive produced by Steven Spielberg. No additional details about the project have been released.
