Jemele Hill Suspended By Espn Over Social Media Account


Sportscaster Jemele Hill was suspended by ESPN after calling on fans to boycott sponsors of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. The two-week suspension was announced on Monday. The Network statement,”Jemele Hill has been suspended for two weeks for a second violation of our social media guidelines.”


Jemele Hill has been cautious about her social media posts since she referred to Donald Trump as a  ” white supremacist ” on Twitter.  In her latest social media explosion, she made several social media comments after Jerry Jones ordered his NFL team to stand during The National Anthem. “If you strongly reject what Jerry Jones said, the key is his advertisers, Jemele Hill wrote. Don’t place the burden solely on the players. 

It is unknown which tweet is the cause of her suspension but very clear that the network decided to take action and suspend the anchor.
