It has been reported that parents of the 15-year-old murder suspect that killed Gabrielle Simmons will remain in custody after parents or guardian not showing up to teens court hearing on Monday.
According to reports, the teen went into a Dollar General located in Oakcliff demanding money from Simmons after Simmons followed his orders the teen then shot her and fled the scene.
Usually, in a case like this, the parents have to be present during the hearing in case the minor is released. In this case, he wasn’t released and will remain in custody and could possibly be tried as an adult.
The judge over the cases decision at this time was to reschedule the hearing for later this month and attorney’s say the judge will have to factor in the juvenile’s criminal record as well as his age.
Gabrielle leaves behind a fiance’ and 6 young children.
