The mother of North Texas toddler, Sherin Matthews was arrested Thursday for child endangerment.
Authorities said she and her husband left their three-year-old adopted child home alone while they went and ate dinner just hours before they made claims that she disappeared.
Wesley Matthews made claims that his adopted daughter’s cause of death was due to her choking on milk.
It is unclear at this time if she choked on her milk or if she was deceased before they left the home.
Sini Mathews, surrendered to Richardson police Thursday and is being held on $250,000 bond on the state jail felony charge.
Both parents are currently in jail and their biological daughter will remain in CPS custody until a decision is reached.
The case is still open and after the autopsy is complete the couple may face other charges.
