Update: Woman Arrested, suspected in connection of shooting the 7-year-old child in Greenville Texas

Police in McKinney arrested a woman in connection with a fatal shooting of a 7-year-old child in Greenville, officials say.

Police answered a call about a neighborhood disturbance Thursday afternoon, but after authorities arrived on the scene they didn’t find anything out of the ordinary, according to a statement released.

While they were investigating the disturbance, authorities were told a 7-old child was taken into Hunt Regional Medical Center ER with a gunshot wound.

According to reports, the child died shortly after due to his wound.

Early Friday morning, police in McKinney announced that officers located a suspect’s vehicle leaving a local Walgreen’s store. The driver sped away from police, driving west into Frisco and into a dead-end street.

The vehicle backed up and struck the front end of a patrol unit, police said. At that point, officers arrested the driver, Brooke Craig, and a passenger, identified as Cameron Castillo. Castillo was arrested for a parole violation, police said.

Both Craig and Castillo were booked into the Collin County Jail, according to police.

7-Year-Old Fatally Shot In Greenville Texas

According to reports, police are investigating the shooting death of a 7-year-old that was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon.

Authorities say they were called to a home in the 4200 block of Pickett Street about a neighborhood disturbance around 5 p.m. but not much was stated.

While officials were investigating the disturbance, a 7-year-old was taken to Hunt Regional Medical Center ER with a gunshot wound, where he later died. Police have not released information on who dropped the child off.

Greenville Police Department has not released information about any possible suspects. The investigation is ongoing.

Dallas Texas- Man Dies after DART Bus Runs Over Him In East Dallas

Around midnight Tuesday, a pedestrian was struck by a DART bus driver and killed near Samuell Boulevard and Hunnicut Road, officials say.

The bus driver heard something in the midst of turning at an intersection according to reports. The driver immediately stopped and found an injured man underneath the bus.

Jonathan Dominguez, 32,  was taken to Baylor Medical Center, where he later died around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

No one else was injured.

Since the incident the driver has been placed on administrative leave while DART investigates, authorities reported.
